When my 2 wisdom-teeth were removed, I do not remember having so much pain as I have now. Okay, there were complicaitons then and it took about 3 weeks for the wound to fully heal, but at least it wasn't as painful as it is now. Good thing though is that this time I was in time to prevent an invention of the wound by going to the dentist when I felt too much pressure in the tooth before the hole where of the removed one is. Within minutes after the dentist had removed the stitches and flushed the wound, that pressure was gone. Instead, now the hole is aching BADLY all the time. I know I'm allowed to take painkillers to ease the pain, but they're not really working. Well, actually they do work, but for about an hour or so (when I take 2 at a time, and I can have only 8 a day maximum). With that, it feels like the pain is blocking those eye-nasal-mouth-ear tubes (I really don't know what they're called in English and don't want to pick up a dictionary ) - I constantly have to pop my right ear ![]() To make things worst, I have to use some special anti-bacterial mouthwash twice a day. I asked the dentist if I should use it now that the wound is open and he said I should. I can tell you that a mouthwash on an open wound is NOT A FUN experience at all. Damn, that hurts like hell And then to make things worst, I'm not allowed to drink or eat anything for the next half hour, so I have to use my painkillers before I use the mouthwash.I think most of the problems mostly come because it's the lower jaw where the tooth has been. Like my dentist said "It's a lying wound where food can easily fall down in". Well, he was right. As good as I try to keep the wound clean by flushing is (which hurts like hell as well - ever tried to poor water in an open wound?), it stays painful. Not to mention, that as a result of the pain I'm not sleeping well either (even less than I normally do...). Lets just hope the wound will heal quickly and that this will all be over soon... PS. One good thing comes from this. because of the pain, I'm eating less, so I'm loosing weight faster than I did when I started working again
