I've been thinking to start playing Star Wars The Old Republic for the last week now. And to make things better, yesterday's announcement of SWTOR to go Free2Play pulled me finally in it. So today I bought a CD-Key on eBay and got myself started, but from the looks of it I started one day too late... Why? Look at the bottom of the Free2Play information. There the 'break point' for subscription is July 31th, 2012. Every player who had an active subscription before that date will get a free rewards, and that Party Jawa just looks awesome (and has the most votes on FB already as well)! Well, I guess it's just my luck again to be waiting 'too long' before I start playing a MMORPG and miss out on some goodies. On the other hand, I'm considering to stay with SWTOR for the coming months and enjoy every bit this game has to offer, and hope that the Free2Play features won't be as bad as $O€'s 'Free2Play' system is. I am actually hoping EA/BioWare will pick Turbine's Free2Play system, so that even without subscription the game is playable... |
