With my account for EverQuest II still banned and Silkroad online being under maintenance this morning, I figured to play Guild Wars a bit more. Last time I played I was on the mission to enter Lion's Gate, and died horribly by those hordes of undead that are in the swamps there. At the time I didn't know I didn't really have to go there in the first place... Two days ago, I gave it an other try and died horribly again. This time is was from the drakes that were on the beach. You know, it's kinda hard to fight off 8 level 18 drakes (bad aggro thing ), when you're level 13 yourself and have an NPC party of level 10.Today I learned from both mistakes and avoided those undead in the swamps and didn't make the drakes aggro error at all. I finally managed to get through the whole mission and ended up with the captain who'd give me access to Lion's Gate if I'd help him get rid of the undead in the swamp. At first I thought I'd had to kill those undead that killed me the 1st time, but luckily it was not the case. These undead were not as much as the other bunch and I could easily overrun them and I was granted access to Lion's Gate. What I didn't know of Lion's Gate is that it's a campaign HUB. When I entered the city, I had a pop-up telling me who I could speak to to enter other campaigns *YAY* The FAQ of the Hall of Monuments also shows that when I do the primary quests in the Eye of the North, I will get tapestries that I do need to use to decorate (and activate?) my Hall of Memories. If this is true, then I will have to move to the Eye of the North campaign anyway and play my way through it... |
