Yesterday evening there was an other stress-test for Guild Wars 2. Since the update on the client earlier that week was HUGE I thought to give this stress-test a shot. After an hour of logon attempts and being kicked constantly (hey, it's a stress-test ), I immediately noticed that the display performance (FPS) was higher than before. Switching back to my Windows desktop, I saw that the EVGA Precision tool showed a lot of activity on both my GPU's. So I started to up my graphical settings in-game and see how far I could push them before my performance dropped to non-playable.But this high FPS does come at a 'price'. Both my GPU's were loaded close to the maximum (compared with 10% in the previous beta's), so both fans were buzzing loud, especially the ASUS card made a lot of noise. But the CPU on the other hand didn't really break a sweat. Okay, I did upgrade it since last beta, but then all 3 cores were used 100%, while now only 1 core was set to 90% and the other 5 were running at 35% maximum. One more picture to show how beautiful GuildWars 2 is on maxed out settings... Overall, I think ArenaNet did a good job since the last event when it comes to performance. And that while they were working on the servers and overall performance most likely could have been higher if they were not working on the servers during the test. There's an other test tonight, and my wife will be off to her sister this weekend. So I guess I'll be playing all evening during this test and see how things will go then
